There are so many people in North America that abuse a substance, many of whom refuse to get the help they need for various different reasons. Some believe that they don’t deserve to help themselves and feel they are destined to continue down the path that fate has apparently chosen for them. There are some people who refuse to get help because they are unable to accept that they have a problem that they need to get help for. Then, there are others who are unaware of the help that is available to them. While there is still much about the brain that is not understood, there are therapists who can help people with addictions to fight those addictions.
