Why Losing Weight With Laxative Might Be A Risk.

Laxatives gained prominence as a medium for relieving chronic constipation. Slowly, chemical, herbal and other forms of laxatives gained the reputation of being effective colon-cleansing agents. However, in the last decade many dubious manufactures have started peddling laxatives as a medium for ‘quickly’ and ‘effectively’ losing weight. Unsuspecting and misinformed customers, desperately searching for a quick-fix solution for their weight-related issues have fallen trap to such misleading advertisements. However, the fact is that using laxatives for losing or controlling body weight is actually a form of laxative abuse. This abuse goes beyond the realm of dubious market products – many individuals deliberately use laxatives as a way of keeping away the extra pounds, even though they realize the potential health hazards linked with it.
